I haven't been here in quite a long time. My husband and I were in the neighborhood and thought we would stop in. We used to come all the time especially when this place first opened. We sat at the bar. Was greeted promptly by the bartender Mark. Little did I know it was thirsty Thursday and they were having drink and food specials. My husband and I both ordered a beer and we decided to split the beer cheese nachos. The nachos came out very quickly. These weren't the greatest nachos I've ever had but it was a good snack. Prob won't order them again. Mark the bartender was super nice and talked to us for awhile, since the place was super dead. After 2 beers each and the nachos with the discount the total bill was $32. I was very happy about that. Definitely a time to go there is on Thursday during the afternoon. The place is very spacious and neatly kept. The bar is very long and big. I'm glad I went back, didn't disappoint and will be coming back again soon.

Somehow ended up at 38 Degrees for a late lunch on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating. We ordered: CEVICHE 4/5 - fresh and delicious! Shrimp is plump and the chips hold the ceviche well. Lots of lime and cilantro so it was very refreshing! POKE 4.5/5 - very umami and yummy! The tuna was really nice but I felt like the chips fell apart very easily. Regardless, I loved the avocado and fish and the seasoning was a nice shoyu sauce JALAPEÑO AND CHORIZO PIZZA 2/5 - a bit too heavy for me but the jalapeños were a nice touch The food came out surprisingly quick although it was a bit hard to flag down help when we wanted to order. Prices here are pretty average.

The menus change constantly and although it says on the door that sundays there's $2off all tap beers it isn't. So it's good to ask or look at their most updated menu. I come here once in a while for the beer since it's close by. Today we had a Pranqster (North Coast Brewing) which is a Belgian I believe. It's good, 3.7/5 for me. The Lucky Bunny with a Chainsaw Hazy IPA which was great! It was a Sunday special for $6 a pint. 4.8/5 for me.

I haven't been to 38° Ale House in years because I've been going to their Monrovia location. But tonight, my sis and I went on our double date night for our birthdays, and we had the best time there. Our server, Adam B, made our night extra special because he was so friendly and so attentive to all needs. The food was so good and we love that there was happy hour prices for certain items on the menu. Everything we ordered was really delicious. Our favorites were the calamari, asada fries (love the cheese pull underneath the fries!), and the sandwiches and burgers. I forgot how good their food is and definitely will be back more often! Thank you, Adam for making our night so awesome! You definitely deserve a raise!

My sister and I decided to have lunch here on a Saturday at 12noon on March 1st. We waited at 11am to open and we were the first customers there. We got seated in the tables with view of the tvs. The menu was easy to view and both of us ordered their clam chowder soup which was delicious with small crackers. It was piping hot and waited it to cool down. My pastrami sandwich had thick slices with Cole slaw and tender and moist. The garlic aloli was really tasty with fries. I couldn't finish the whole sandwich. Our waitress was nice and was very good on refills of soda and water. The kitchen does a good job of making the food. Next time, I should order food for pick up. The place got more customers as we were leaving. It was fun watching the dodgers game while eating lunch.

This place is great! We came to Alhambra on a Sunday night to have some korean bbq at Gen (probably won't go back there). Gen had over an hour wait, so we saw 38 Degrees right across the street. We went over to have a few beers while we waited. Great atmosphere with televisions, lots of good choices of beers, and they even had a happy hour on a Sunday night. Service was excellent, beers were cold, and prices were reasonable. Would not hesitate to return in the future! Looks like a great place to watch a game when sports are on!

I have spent many happy hours at 38 Degrees over the last couple years. Service is always friendly. Vibes are casual unless there is a big game playing. The beer selection is great for all levels of beer enthusiasts. Happy hour menu changes from time to time but usually contains quality options. Not always impressed with their cocktails. Sometimes the old fashioned is too sweet, sometimes there is barely anything in the glass besides the giant cube of ice. Not a fall of their margarita. But I can always count on the beer to be hoppy and delicious. Food is good. We've tried many things off the menu: flatbread pizza, tacos, brussels, steak and frites. There is any dish that stands out as a favorite of mine but I keep going back so they are doing something right. It's been a while since we've a full dinner so that might be for our next visiti.

The service was amazing, Mark was extremely friendly and kind. When I arrived, I believe they just opened because it was quiet. However by the time I left, it was really noisy because they had the dodger game on and it is a bar. Here is the weird thing about the food, it wasn't what we were expecting. I got the sliders as an appetizer. It was good. I'd give it a 7/10. I got the mac and cheese and I think it could have been a little bit more flavorful. I'd give that 5/10. I ordered the meatloaf and it smelled amazing but didn't taste all that good. HOWEVER, their Yukon mashed potatoes were my favorite! Meatloaf 4/10 but the potatoes were 10/10! My friend ordered the bbq platter and he said it was good, and he loved the string beans. I also ordered a mock-tail of strawberry marguerita and it was very refreshing! I'd order it again! That was delicious! I'd come back to try other menu options. Parking is street parking mostly, but there is a parking structure across the way.

38 degrees is a craft kitchen and bar that serves a variety of delicious foods and beers. What I Ordered: Garlic Parmesan Fries ($8) 38 Degrees Wings - Chipotle Honey ($16) Two Meat BBQ Tray with Beef Brisket, Pork Spare Ribs, Mac & Cheese, and Coleslaw ($25) Cali Creamin Taster ($2.5) Agua De Sandia ($13) Food: The Garlic Parmesan Fries were so crispy and full of garlic flavor. If you love the taste of garlic, this starter is for you. The garlic flavor is very strong as is, and they also give you a garlic aioli to add an extra layer of garlic flavor to the dish. The fries themselves were cooked well, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They definitely do not skimp out on the Parmesan or Garlic, so I would definitely give this a try! I also got the Chipotle Honey 38 Degrees Wings, which were solid. They were sweet and a little bit tangy, definitely not on the spicy end of other chipotle honey wings I've tried. I usually don't like Blue Cheese, but the Blue Cheese complemented the wings well here. The chicken wing itself was good quality, which I've learned to appreciate bars using good quality chicken for their wings. The Two Meat BBQ Tray came with Beef Brisket and Pork Spare Ribs, and I chose Mac & Cheese and Coleslaw for my sides. You get to choose from the four options they have including: Brisket, Pastrami, Shoyu-Pineapple Pulled Pork, and Pork Spare Ribs. The meats were good, but I would be open to trying the other dishes they have available for my next time! I absolutely LOVED the Mac & Cheese, it was a three cheese blend with bacon bread crumb bits on top. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the cheese blend worked well with the bacon bits. They serve Mac & Cheese as a Main Dish menu with your choice of meat on top, and that is definitely what I will be getting during my next visit! For drinks, I ordered the Cali Creamin, which is my personal favorite beer. I love that they have a taster option of just 5 ounces, so I can try small amounts of the 38 beer options they have! I also got the Agua De Sandia, and they do not skimp out on the alcohol here. After the first sip, I was able to tell that this was going to be a good night :) Service: All of the staff, including servers and bartenders, were quick and friendly! Ambiance: A chill place to hang out or watch the game!

A friend of mine was in town, and we made plans to meet for lunch. He informed me that his adorable pup would be joining us too, so I searched for dog friendly eateries and this place came up on the list. I've been to the Monrovia location and the food was good there and my friend is a beer connoisseur, so this seemed like the perfect spot. Thankfully, I arrived early because their "dog friendly patio" is one table in front of the restaurant. It's shaded and they provide a bowl of water for your furry friend. Bartender Mark was fantastic! He had a great personality and came out frequently to check on us. He deserves extra bonus points because we were too busy catching up that he had to come back several times to take our food order. I had the Strawberry Fields (Vodka, Triple Sec, Fresh strawberries, mint & lemon) and the Garlic Parmesan Fries. My friend ordered the Tacos: Brussel Sprout, Blackened Fungi, & Smoked Brisket. (3 for $13.50). My cocktail was tasty & refreshing for the hot summer day and the Garlic Parmesan fries were addicting. My friend enjoyed the tacos and puppers was happy to be hanging out with us. If you plan on dining here with your fur baby, be prepared that the table may not be available. Otherwise, there is plenty of seating inside and a large bar to watch sports. Happy Hour: Mon 4-7 pm, Tue & Wed 3-7pm, Thurs 3-10pm, Fri 3-7pm & 10pm - Midnight *Parking lot in the back and street parking.
